Psychotherapy
training and experience
I have over twelve years experience in counselling and psychotherapy,
having started in 1994.I graduated from the Spectrum Psychotherapy
training in 2001. Spectrum is one of the oldest and largest humanistic
therapy centres in the world. I also hold a Certificate in the
Therapeutic & Educational Application of the Arts from The Institute for
the Arts in Therapy & Education.
My early counselling work included seeing people with long-term
bereavement issues. They were mainly referred by their doctors or other
mental health professionals. I have had a private practice since 1996,
seeing individuals and couples and running training days and workshops
for groups.
My main theoretical influences are Humanistic therapy, particularly
Gestalt Psychotherapy; Ecopsychology and The Transpersonal. However I
also integrate other strands into my work when this is helpful. These
include NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and CBT (Cognitive
Behavourable Therapy).
Issues I can help you with
These include relationship difficulties; emotional problems;
anxiety; low self esteem; depression; bereavement; spiritual emptiness
or overwhelm; sexual, physical & emotional abuse; parenting; eating
disorders; addictive behaviours; body awareness; creative fulfilment;
work issues and life planning.

this we can decide whether we will work with one another.
Fees
The fee per session for clients who pay for themselves is on a
sliding scale of € 25-65 based on your own assessment of your ability to
pay. Corporate-paid clients will be charged at a higher rate.
