I am a fully-qualified independent counsellor with over 10 years experience in the UK.

Together with a small group of independent counsellors, I helped to set up a counselling service in 1995 called The Listening Post covering the Chilterns area of Herts, Beds and Bucks, and also worked with local surgeries. Late in 2006 I moved with my wife and our border collie to France, looking for a change from Hertfordshire suburbia to a culture more closely related to the changing seasons.

I work with all ages from 16 upwards, irrespective of background, belief system or sexual orientation. My approach is person-centred, down-to-earth and devoid of psychological jargon. Everyone has hidden strengths and resources, and the sessions are designed to help you rediscover those that you already possess. In the process you will find that you begin to regain control of areas of your life in which you may currently feel stuck.

I now live in a small village in north Aveyron, and, although I am bilingual English/French, sessions will normally take place in English. I charge 30€ per one-hour session; longer sessions are available by agreement. All sessions are completely confidential, and based on the code of ethics of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
