Counselling In France

The website is part of the Counselling In France association offering therapies in English by therapists who live all over France and also in other European countries. If you are a qualified counsellor or offer any other types of therapy, please read below and contact me if you are interested in joining the site.

Once you have submitted a form, please send me details for your page in a Word document which can include a link to your therapy website (please give a reciprocal link) or send the details to me by email and I will put it up as soon as I can. Photos need to be submitted as a jpeg of any size, but not embedded in a document please.

Please try and include the following in your write-up or in the details you send me:-

• An email address
• Qualifications (if you are a trained Cruse counsellor, it will be made clear on your page)
• A picture of yourself
• Whereabouts in France you are (or other European country)
• A land-line or mobile telephone number
• Whether you offer a free assessment appointment
• Main mode of working ie person-centred, TA, psychodynamic etc.
• Your page MUST show one of these four things:

    › you have a Siret number and it must be shown or 'siret en cours' if you are in the process
    › you have created an association to allow you to practice without making a profit (see here)
    › you work for a relevant organisation or have joined a relevant association
    › you do not charge for therapy or are UK-based

If you submit your page to this site, you must agree to abide by the Code of Ethics as laid down by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy or the Code of Ethics of your training organisation. Please state what your exact qualification is when you apply to be on the site and your stated intention to abide by the Code of Ethics and the Guidelines at all times while you are represented on Counselling In France. It is also important that you have supervision and professional insurance if possible. (You can join our online peer supervision section if you wish) The site is non-profit-making and I would like to keep it as person-centred and client-serving as possible. Counselling In France is advertised every month in The Connexion in their Directory and on various other English-speaking websites.

It will be assumed that by joining this website, you accept total responsibility for the text you send in to be on your web page and also for your legal position. If you are not registered with the Chambres des Metiers, you might be working as/for an association or be employed in a French establishment. (how to create an association here) or you may not be charging for counselling, but Counselling In France cannot accept that responsibility.
